Lamya Al Kiyumi is a Omani mother of three children who all go to ABA. They are in grades 1, 3 and 7.
Lamya has a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. She believes that instilling environmental awareness, harnessing good environmental practices, and focusing on sustainable programming are of the utmost importance in bringing up children today.
She believes in giving back to the community and has founded as well as sat on the boards of numerous NGOs in Oman.
Having worked for the United Nations Population Fund, Lamya brings with her vast experience in the fields of Women Empowerment and Gender Equality, Raising awareness for youth as well as managing and fundraising for national programs and liaising with various stakeholders.
Lamya sees her role on the board as opportunity to help develop and strengthen ABA with the challenges it will face, and has started to face, in these changing times.
