Inclusion at ABA applies to all our students, parents, faculty and community. Admission is open to students for whom we can provide a programme that is accessible and from which they can benefit. ABA is equipped to provide support for a managed number of students representing a range of learning needs, as well as English language learners, based on the school’s enrollment policy and resources. ABA does not discriminate on the basis of religion, ethnic or national origin, or gender.
We understand that inclusion involves change, it is a journey that requires us to review and evaluate regularly in order to respond to the diversity of our students and community. ABA recognizes that inclusion in education is one aspect of inclusion in society. Equity of access, holistic, strengths based instruction and assessment, and data based decision making are the foundation of our practice. ABA faculty is committed to working collaboratively, flexibly and with an inclusive mindset to ensure that all our students are able to overcome barriers to learning and achieve success within the curriculum. We use the language of inclusion (learning support, barriers to learning, participation and support for diversity) to drive our practice.
