I am currently teaching Art at The Sultans School in Muscat, Oman. I returned to New Zealand for University and completed a Bachelors and Honours in Visual Arts in Auckland.
After being in NZ for about 5 years and still not feeling at home, I returned to Muscat where my family was still living and discovered that teaching was the best job I had ever had and Oman was more of a home than anywhere else.
It was only once I was in NZ that I learned our school experience at ABA was a unique one. Aside from the obvious rich cultural education the environment of ABA offers, almost all my memories of going to school were fun and positive ones. This, I learned, was not a common experience of school.
